Regenerative Medicine Rehabilitation

If you are either considering regenerative medicine or have received a regenerative medicine procedure, you came to the right page. Many people elect to have regenerative procedures over surgery because it’s minimally invasive and allows the body to heal itself more effectively by growing healthy tissue to fix the damaged tissue. In addition, surgery and the rehab process can take longer to heal, causing you to miss more days from work and engaging in physical activities, thus spending more time and money in the whole process.

Physical therapy and regenerative medicine work hand in hand. A proper physical therapy program is imperative before regenerative medicine procedures. It’s important to address any other musculoskeletal issues that are affecting the main tissue problem as our body is well connected and thus can be compensating in negative ways. After the regenerative medicine procedure, a precise physical therapy program is warranted to accelerate recovery time and to avoid setbacks by introducing early passive treatments to prevent formation of fibrovascular scar which possesses inferior mechanical and biochemical properties as compared to normal tendon and ligament.  Introduction of early controlled-physical therapy, consisting of manual therapy and patient education, will prevent compensation from adjacent muscles and joints to allow the body to be in the most optimal state to recover with proper movement patterns.  If the treatment is too aggressive, proper healing will not occur and delay the rehab process.  In addition,  an individualized home program must taught by the physical therapist and be executed correctly by the patient to improve outcome.

I have been fortunate enough to help many people that have elected to have regenerative medicine. In fact, I received regenerative medicine in conjunction to physical therapy for my back and shoulder with very successful outcome.

If you or a loved one if considering regenerative medicine for your musculoskeletal problems, it is the right time to research and talk to me about the options to compliment your treatment. Because integration of physical therapy and regeneration medicine is relatively new in healthcare, I am constantly learning the latest research and implementing treatment that goes hand in hand with advanced medicine. I realize that not all physical therapist specialize in this field; therefore, I made a guide to help you choose the right physical therapist that can help you return to a functional and active lifestyle you deserve. Fill out the form to receive your free copy of the guide “How to Choose the Right Physical Therapist for Regenerative Medicine Rehabilitation.”
